Mr & Mrs Hunter – Seamill Hydro

We were lucky enough to photograph Mary and Liam’s wedding on February 2018 at Seamill Hydro – The firth pavilion. What an amazing wedding this was! We weren’t sure if the weather would hold up for us later on in the afternoon but thankfully we got incredibly lucky and the sun burst out just as Mary and Liam arrived in the car. We have included some photographs from their wedding day and their couple photoshoot taken at Pollock Park in Glasgow. We always suggest to our couples to book in a couple shoot with us before their big day to give them a wee practice run! On the day then it means you can relax and enjoy your day without stressing about how you look etc. We have included a few questions to Mary and Liam, so hopefully they help all of you future Brides/Grooms!

How did you meet?:

We actually knew each other as children – like we were at the same events, in shows together etc but never took any notice of one another. We then met when we were 19 in the Fox and Hounds in Houston and have been together ever since!

The Venue & Why Did You Pick It?

We picked it because Seamill has always had a very special place in Mary’s heart as it is a place she and her family spent much of their childhood. Mary asked her Dad when she was 5 if she could get married there and he promised her she could.

The Dress:

The dress was a two piece, princess style dress. I tried on loads of different styles but went with the one I had been planning on ever since I was a little girl.

The bridesmaids/groomsmen-

Our bridesmaids was my sister and best friend of 14 years. My maid of Honour was my best friend from day dot! For the Groomsmen we had my brother and Liam’s brother as best man. A real family affair !

Styling the venue:

The venue was really new as Seamill had recently built a new wedding venue at the hotel. It had a very distinct style that we loved so we done very little to change that. Just little signs and table decor.

Favourite Moments of the day:

The actual wedding Ceremony at the church and the car journey down to Seamill where we are able to just be in the moment before all the madness began.

Grooms wear:

Liam went for a Hunting Stewart tartan from Kilts4u. It was the closest to his name (Hunter) as possible.

Honeymoon Details:

For our honeymoon we went to Mexico and it was amazing. Everything about the place was the perfect, romantic location where we were able to just be us and relax.

The Suppliers:

Eros Fairtale Flowers

Our photographers were perfect! They were very respectful of our space and worked well with all the guests. The whole day ran very smoothly and to perfect schedule. They were very discrete at all the right moments and captured the most beautiful images that we will be able to keep for a lifetime.

The cake was by a woman named Mandy who bakes from home. We had been recommended her from a friend who worked with her husband. She is insanely talented and we still can’t believe what she produced ! Exactly like the picture we sent her. She goes by ‘Rock Cakes by Mandy’ on Facebook.

The dress was from Berketex Brides.

Make up:

Danielle Burnette Make up – I would highly recommend Danielle. She is brilliant at what she does, great chat and managed to do 4 girls make up in record time ! She also gives the bride a little gift to help her through the day which is a lovely touch.

Hair by Cady- Cady is based at Indio at MaryHill, West End of Glasgow. She is excellent. Listens to exactly what you’re looking for and can create any look.
